Thesis Art Component
This collection showcases the art component of my thesis project. In my dissertation, I explore different avenues on how to create an art mannequin specifically for creature design. This is achieved through the art of 'kitbashing' (the combining of different model sets to create something truly unique). As an example, I used three different cryptids: the American Wendigo, the Australian Bunyip, and the Himalayan Yeti. I modelled the heads, limbs, and tails to be interchangeable between all three creatures and kept a similar color palate to harmonize the figures. The idea is to essentially 'create your own cryptid' by mixing and matching different components of each set. This project includes character sheets, packaging design, and the intact/exploded views of the 3D models.
